(simple and refined poke bowl style)
Ingredients (2–3 servings)
2 tbsp. of white and black sesame seeds
1 tbsp. of ground ginger
Black pepper & salt
Optional: cashews, lightly crushed
300 g fresh sashimi-grade tuna, diced
2 tasses de riz jasmin ou riz à sushi, cuit et refroidi
1 large English cucumber, sliced into half-moons
2 cups jasmine rice or sushi rice, cooked and cooled
2 green onions, finely sliced
Coriandre fraîche (optionnel)
Asian dressing
3 tbsp. of soy sauce
1 tsp. of sesame oil
1 tsp. of rice vinegar
1 tsp. of honey or maple syrup
½ tsp. of ginger
½ tsp. of lime juice
Preparation
1. Cook the rice and let it cool slightly.
2. Dry-toast the Merci sesame seeds for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
3. Prepare the tuna: gently toss with 1–2 tbsp. of the dressing.
4. Assemble the bowl:
- Place the rice at the bottom of the bowl
- Add the tuna, avocado, and cucumber
- Drizzle with the remaining dressing
5. Finish: sprinkle with sesame seeds, green onions, cilantro, and cashews (optional).
Merci variations & tips
Spicy: add sriracha or Merci chili flakes
Creamy: a drizzle of spicy mayo
Swap the tuna for salmon or marinated tofu
Lime zest for extra freshness
