Ingredients
2 egg whites
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 pinch of Mère Nature’s ground nutmeg
1 small pinch of salt
1-1/2 cups Mère Nature organic shredded coconut
Preparation
1. Preheat oven to 325°F and cover a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
2. Beat egg whites until stiff, mixing in vanilla, brown sugar, salt and nutmeg.
3. Add coconut and mix well with a hand mixer until coconut is well coated.
4. Wet your hands and make balls without crushing them and place the macaroons on the baking sheet at 1 inch intervals. Bake until the macaroons turn golden brown (about 12 to 13 minutes). Macaroons will be firm to the touch and tender inside.
