Basmati rice flavored with turmeric

Ingredients
2 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil

1 cup Mother Nature white basmati rice

1-1/2 cups organic chicken broth

2 tbsp of Mère Nature’s organic turmeric powder

1/2 tsp. Mère Nature Organic Ginger Powder or fresh

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 pinch of salt

Preparation
1. Sauté the garlic, turmeric and ginger in a little extra virgin olive oil. Add a little salt and stir so that nothing sticks in the pan.

2. Add 1 cup of basmati rice and 1.5 cups of chicken broth. Bring to a boil and then lower the heat. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes until all the water is absorbed.

3. Remove from heat and leave covered for 5 minutes. Before serving, sprinkle with a few fresh parsley leaves. You can also add organic Sultana raisins to the pan 5 minutes before serving. That’s it and all that’s left to do is enjoy. This is a delicious side dish for meat and fish.
